Kentec Instructors complete RD7000/RD8000 Instructor Course

We are proud to announce that our leading instructors, James Carter and Darren Painter have both successfully completed their instructor training programme with RadioDetection for the RD7000 and the RD8000 Service Location Devices. The RD7000 and RD8000 units are used for locating specific pipes and cables in large underground networks which in today’s sites is becoming increasingly complex.

Ground distortion effects, caused by differing soil types and proximity to other conductors, make the user’s job more difficult and time-consuming. The most important requirements for a modern locator under these circumstances are ease of use, accuracy and reliability. It is vital therefore that the users are correctly trained. Kentec in cooperation with Radiodetection can now offer this training. Radiodetection’s RD7000 and RD8000 Utility Locator range addresses these needs with several groundbreaking features that deliver accurate, reliable and repeatable performance.

James and Darren commented on how thorough the course was and have come away with a better understanding of how these units are correctly operated and how to instruct others in this use. James and Darren are both experienced trainers for CAT and Genny use and this course has increased their understanding to now include these more modern units.
